Abstract

In this paper the solar resource is evaluated in order to determine its characterization using the anisotropic model of Muneer. In comparison with the diffuse variable model of Liu Jordan. A conceptual analysis of the diffuse irradiance of the sky is carried out as well as an analysis of the model since it distinguishes between shaded and unshaded surfaces and within the latter between overcast and clear skies. A mathematical model was developed based on the aforementioned model to characterize the solar resource, which is focused on the production of electricity. Once the parameters to be considered in the model are defined, we will proceed to model it using Matlab with solar radiation measurements taken from the Salesian Polytechnic University.
