Abstract
At the time of writing these lines, at the beginning of October 2020, Ecuador has entered the dynamics of the "post-pandemic" phase. Although the regular functioning of educational institutions continues to be interrupted, the Ministry of Education is testing some measures for the "progressive return" under the slogan "Together we learn and take care of ourselves" in the direction of the so-called "new normality". Plans are known and authorized for educational institutions to initiate the piloting of the return to the classrooms, at a time when education has dropped out of the priorities of the public policy agenda, in spite of the exalting official discourse of change and innovation.
