Abstract
The development of distribution systems is related to population growth in urban and rural areas. This establishes that a high percentage of distribution systems have been moved from aerial systems to underground systems; At the same time, the coordination of protections are topics that have been investigated in the last years, looking for different techniques that allow optimization to have a quality service and reliability towards the user. This paper proposes to carry out a contingency analysis on a radial distribution system to automatically obtain the adjustments of the overcurrent protections that allow the coordination of these, considering the restoration of service in a radial distribution network through the change of topology. . Within the analysis, the necessary restrictions must be considered to obtain the best operating point of the system.
