Abstract
This study arose from the Communication and Interculturality Research Group of the Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador. Interculturality of the Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador, aims to analyze the content of radio the content analysis of the radio capsules of the linkage project "Ñuca Ecuador". This responds to Article 36 of the Organic Law of Communication that regulates the presence of programs that promote the cultural values of indigenous, montubio and afro-descendant peoples. A total of 411 capsules on Afro culture were selected, in which representatives of the communities participated, and from their own speeches, certain dimensions of Afro culture were defined. certain dimensions of Afro-Ecuadorian identity were defined from their own discourses: Gastronomy, clothing, myths and rites, traditional festivities and religion. The research analyzes identity from the Afro-Ecuadorians' own vision, which is its main contribution. Although the capsule sample dealt with the above identity categories, phrases and words were expressed in the interviewees' interviews and words of the interviewees that still show vestiges of the discriminatory processes suffered by this group the discriminatory processes suffered by this community in Ecuadorian history.
