Abstract

Education is a vital process that involves a person's entire life. Schooling is a part of this process, but not the most important or the only one. It is important because during this time certain knowledge is systematized and structured, however, little is done in the formation of the person and his or her life project. The whole educational process is based on language, because language is a two-way communication, because it is a powerful tool to generate actions and provoke changes at a personal level as well as in the environment. At the present time, in the "digital era", the language used in the classroom does not go with the digital language used by young people. What to do? It is not a question of sacrificing one of them, but to make the best use of the different language modalities that human beings possess. In the educational field, it is necessary to use the best resources offered by technology, being the school and culture important guides to discriminate the essential from the transient.
