Abstract

The purpose of this research project is to analyze the process of creation of a musical arming device and its benefits for the development of the attention of 5-year-old children. The research was carried out with 300 infants and their place of residence is a sector of the city of Ambato—Ecuador. The researchers focused on the use of this type of device to promote in an interactive way the development of skills such as visual-motor coordination, auditory discrimination, attention and concentration, obeying orders and improving the recognition of sounds, the identification of percussion instruments, the recognition of the intensity of sounds and to enhance the ability to discriminate and attention continuously. In order to proceed with the creation of the device, the researchers applied a Denver II pre- and post-test to determine the requirements. The result obtained was a musical device with characteristics to interactively develop the attention of 5-year-old infants.
