Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) is an emerging technology that gives us the opportunity to visualize additional digital elements to those present or existing in physical reality through devices such as smartphones or tablets. This can be very useful in language learning, as it allows students to interact with elements virtually in real time and in context. Augmented reality can be used to create immersive and playful learning experiences. For example, applications can be created that allow students to hear and practice the pronunciation of English words and phrases by superimposing elements of a virtual environment on real-world objects.
