Abstract

This study describes how SM, a company dedicated to the sale of electronic devices with tracking and monitoring, improved its process of creating customized items using BPM. The repetitive steps of the Deming method and the commitment of management were fundamental to determine the roles and functions of those responsible for the process, which made it easier to reassign functions, in addition to the creation of a new role to oversee the entire process. The times of the previous process and the improved process were taken, showing a clear difference in the times of receipt and approval of the items, verification of requirements by different departments, and the release of the items. In this work, a solution was designed, developed, and implemented with BonitaSoft that significantly improved a process whose nature is to adjust to the customer’s requirements.
