Abstract

It is important to recognize that the integral development of the human being, among other elements,dependsonreading,asocietythatdoesnothavereadingcompetencecannotprogressor advance, even worse, keep up with technology, especially in the area of Education. The objective istoanalyzethecontributionsofdigitalreadingforthedevelopmentofcreativethinkinginstudents of the tenth year of Ecuadorian basic education. It is a study with a qualitative approach, of bibliographicanddescriptivescope,theresearchtechniquethatwasusedwastheinterviewapplied to 10 teachers. The main result indicates that for 70% of those interviewed, digital reading can be considered a new teaching-learning strategy for this technological world. In conclusion, methodological strategies must be implemented through digital reading, relevant and adequate to motivate the development of thinking in children and young people in a creative way.
