Abstract

The present work is circumscribed in the process of theoretical and practical understanding of identity and culture in the context of the Don Bosco Intercultural University Residence, where various processes of cultural and identity interrelation are established in those who live there, in those who administer and in the processes that are generated in around these two fundamental categories in the process of intercultural education. The objective of this study is to analyze the categories of identity and culture from a theoretical perspective, also seeking to establish a discursive correlation between the contributions of the academy and its daily life. Hence, the following work is not only limited to researching the concepts of culture and identity, but also lands in field work with the people who live in the space. residence, through in-depth interviews that not only describe reality, but also propose based on their ubjectivities and life experiences.
