Abstract
The article explore the calculation of the insulation coordination for 22 kV in distribution system based on IEEE C62.82.2 and IEC 60071-2. The process of the insulation coordi-nation is summarized in an approch that combines deterministic and statistical methods to establish optimal insulation values. The system established the levels of overvoltages from the system although corrects with the correction factor and validate the results to determine and note the similarities and differences between the IEEE and IEC standards of insulation coordination.
