Abstract

With the emergence and exponential evolution of Learning and Knowledge Technologies (LKT), it is necessary to monitor the teaching and learning processes that are developed through new environments. Hence, the main objective is to carry out a theoretical-practical review of learning metrics for their incorporation in the educational system of the Dominican Republic, from which 3 specific objectives are derived: to analyze the studies on learning analytics frameworks according to the metrics approaches exposed by Ferguson & Shum (2011); to describe in an exploratory way the learning analytics frameworks for their implementation in the Dominican Republic correlating the learning analytics frameworks with greater proclivity to their formalization; to propose an action plan for the incorporation of learning metrics corresponding to the virtual territoriality of the Dominican Republic.
