Abstract
This study proposes a strategy capable of optimizing the location of reclosers within an electrical distribution network, considering the reliability indicators SAIFI, SAIDI, CAIFI, AENS and ASAI as decision criteria. The initial data of the case study are random. Through these, the decision matrix is obtained to choose the option that minimizes the highest number of reliability indices. The network topology determines the number of reclosers to be installed. However, the strategy is scalable and can be used in larger networks. It can also be implemented in networks where the initial variables are known.
