Abstract
When analyzing a livestock company using the system dynamics methodology as a basis for applying it according to the specific needs of the organization under study, specific variables were determined according to its line of business and other variables of general applicability. It is important to state that when studying this system it was necessary to analyze its usual behavior and not considering data in extreme situations. The technique of unstructured interviews with management was used in order to gather relevant, reliable and correct information. After the interviews, the variables determined were subjected to a validation process by experts and a statistical correlational analysis, which gave rise to the model to be applied. Once this model was designed, it was possible to simulate results according to the specific needs of the organization, which made it possible to visualize the impact that these results would have on the company. The conjunction of the system dynamics methodology, the interviews, the collection of historical market data, as well as the involvement of the laws that govern these businesses in Ecuador made it possible to obtain the model.
