Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze how waste is handled in the textile sector. In Ecuador, the textile industry has one of the best working sectors. According to UN data, the textile industry produces twenty percent of the world's wastewater. Within the textile industry, the most common solid wastes are leftover fabrics that are disposed of or discarded because their size or size makes them unusable. In the Atacama desert located in Chile, thousands of tons of waste from the textile industry are deposited in the same way in the Ghana Landfill located in Africa, where thousands of tons of used or discarded clothes from developed countries such as Europe, USA and China arrive.
