Abstract

Through this article, an investigation is carried out on the application of numerical analysis to structural calculations based on a sample, in which some metrics are determined that describe its behavior, such as its weight; with these values, a polynomial is obtained that describes the model represented in a curve, which can be achieved through interpolation or regression. To obtain the polynomial by interpolation, the numerical methods of: Newton's divided differences, Lagrange and tracers or splines were applied; they were graphed independently , then grouped together to analyze their behavior. With the regression, the method of least squares was applied to obtain the polynomial and represent its curve. With all the polynomials obtained, all their curves were plotted, consolidating them into a single graph, in which the most recommended category and method of numerical analysis are analyzed, taking into account the errors found.
