Abstract

The services of software development companies are based on producing high quality software products. The quality of software products is ensured by applying software engineering practices throughout the entire development process. To improve these processes, it is necessary to adapt software improvement process models to companies according to their own characteristics. This article provides an analysis of the application of various software process improvement models in small and medium-sized companies. Finally, the results presented here show the influence of the inherent factors of the companies and their work teams in the choice of a specific software improvement process model.
