Abstract

A Cyber-physical Production System (CPPS) integrates control and communication between the digital and the physical world to optimize its performance. For this reason, the introduction of the IEC-61499 standard will allow the implementation of distributed, flexible and reconfigurable controllers within a CPPS architecture using low cost hardware devices. In order to make industries more competitive, good decision-making must be ensured, but systems are increasingly complex and to achieve this goal a technique that control engineers can use is Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP). This study proposes the design and development of industrial control applications based on IEC-61499 and FAHP algorithms, widely used in decision making but that have not yet been implemented in process control.
