Abstract
Vibration and acoustic emission signals were acquired to the diagnosis of theseverity of faults in rotating machinery. The vibration and acoustic emission signals wereacquired from a single stage gearbox where crack and scuffing failures were simulated inthe gears with a total of nine severity levels for each failure. As a result, the signals in thefrequency domain were analyzed to compare the behavior of the severity of the failure ofthe acoustic emission and vibration signals.
