Abstract

According to the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), by 2030 will need an extra 3.3 million teachers in classrooms to achieve universal primary education. This situation becomes more complicated in the case of educational inclusion of children with or without disabilities and special needs. Currently, the schools (especially those from the developing countries), urgently require trained teachers to attend children with special educational needs. For these reasons, in this paper, we present a methodological model that uses experts systems and collaborative virtual environments to support the educational inclusion of these children in regular schools. We have validated the expert system and the virtual environment with 30 professionals on special education from different areas, reaching 80% of acceptance.
