Abstract
In Ecuador, universities have historically developed their activities outside the requirements of the productive sector. Since 2010, the State has tried to give a new twist on this issue, however the State-University-Company relationship has not yet managed to function correctly. The Industry requires qualified labor to give way to the change of the productive matrix, fundamentally at the levels of superior technician and technologist, whose training is no longer the responsibility of the University but of the technical Institutes. In these circumstances, the Salesian Polytechnic University promotes collaboration with the Chambers of Production and two large manufacturing companies in the city with international projection: Continental Tire and Induglob; oriented towards the execution of this training project.
