Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of a 4×4 MIMO system, using universal software-defined radio peripherals, with Alamouti and QSTBC codes. We also employed FEC and M-QAM modulation in order to increase the transmission reliability at high bit rates. Results show that there's a strong signal stability when employing this transmission system given that the SNR of the 4-QAM modulation is 24 dB with a BER of 8×10 -4. We further improved the transmission results applying a BCH codification.
