Abstract
If life is considered the most valuable gift for human beings, today it faces problems and challenges that seek to modify, limit, or even destroy it. Bioethics reflects on these tensions that accompany existence, in its broadest sense, with the aim of finding relevant and inclusive solutions. Artificial intelligence and its implications for human life, together with the consequences of climate change and the complexity of assisted death, require a rigorous, open, and interdisciplinary approach involving experts in ethics, law, anthropology, biology, and other sciences. It is urgent to initiate a reflective dialogue on life and its theoretical and practical challenges, as the consequences of these problems have a direct or indirect impact on people's quality of life and the ecological balance of the planet. The works gathered here are the result of research that invites critical and responsible reflection.
