Project Details
Description
This project focuses on preventing psychosocial work risks, an area of increasing priority in Ecuador, addressing their negative effects on the emotional, cognitive, and physiological well-being of employees. The study targets teaching, administrative, and service staff (806 workers) at the Salesian Polytechnic University Quito Campus (UPS-Q) between 2018 and 2020. The main goal is to diagnose and evaluate these risks, which encompass factors such as organizational culture, working conditions, leadership, and workload, in compliance with Ecuadorian and international regulations (CAN Decision 584). A mixed methodology is employed: quantitative analysis uses the "Psychosocial Evaluation Questionnaire in Work Environments" from the Ministry of Labor, with advanced statistical tests (ANOVA, multiple regression) performed in SPSS-23. Complementarily, a qualitative approach involves three focus groups, analyzing emergent content using Atlas.ti. The expected outcome is the development of a comprehensive prevention and intervention program, involving the Human Talent Management Directorate and the Occupational Safety Unit, to enhance the work environment and the overall health of the employees.

Goal:
To analyze psychosocial work risk factors among teaching, administrative, and service staff at the Salesian Polytechnic University Quito Campus (2018-2020) to develop a comprehensive prevention and intervention program aimed at promoting workplace well-being and quality of life.

Research lines:
Work, consumption and psychology
