Description
This project focuses on developing an Automatic Web Accessibility Analysis Tool, driven by the need to comply with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Ecuadorian legislation (Organic Law on Disabilities and the NTE INEN-ISO/IEC 40500 standard), which adopts WCAG 2.0 guidelines. The main objective is to assist public and private institutions in meeting the requirement to include access links and ensure their web portals are accessible to people with disabilities. The tool, developed by the Research Group in Artificial Intelligence and Assistive Technologies at the Salesian Polytechnic University, is based on a rigorous study of W3C standards. Methodologically, the Waterfall development model was employed to structure the phases of requirements analysis, system and program design, coding, testing, and maintenance. This sequential and systemic approach allowed for the coherent management of module development, ensuring that the implemented algorithms satisfy accessibility requirements and promote the autonomy of users with disabilities in the digital environment.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To develop an intelligent tool for web accessibility evaluation and monitoring, ensuring compliance with international WCAG 2.0 standards and Ecuadorian laws related to digital inclusion.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Technologies and systems for educational and labor inclusion
