Transformations in the Socio-Educational Practices of Indigenous Youth from the Central Ecuadorian Highlands as a Result of Internal Mobility

This research project addresses a significant gap in youth studies, which have historically focused on urban contexts, neglecting the dynamics of indigenous migrant youth. The main objective is to examine the transformations in the socio-educational practices of indigenous youth from the central Ecuadorian highlands following their internal mobility. The study aims to fill the void left by previous research that focused on urban youth or on peasant and proletarian movements, without detailing the impact of migration on indigenous youth. The methodology employed will be mixed, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, integrating sociological procedures with anthropological techniques. Specifically, tools such as in-depth interviews, life stories, discussion groups, and focus groups will be utilized to capture the complexity of these transitioning youth's experiences.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To analyze the changes and transformations occurring in the socio-educational practices of indigenous youth from the central Ecuadorian highlands, specifically as a result of internal mobility towards urban contexts.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>nan
