The Preventive System of Saint John Bosco in Pedagogy Students of Salesian Higher Education Institutions (IUS), for the Promotion of Integral, Transformative Education and Integral Human Development

Project Details

Description

This research project, led by the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) and the Catholic University Silva Henríquez (UCSH), focuses on the study of the Preventive System of Saint John Bosco applied to pedagogy students at Salesian Higher Education Institutions (IUS). The purpose is to analyze how this pedagogical model contributes to the integral, transformative education and human development of future teachers. The methodology used is a mixed-methods approach, combining a quantitative phase (surveys) and a qualitative phase (semi-structured interviews with directors). This design allows for a deep understanding of the components, resources, and activities that underpin educational-pastoral action in the Salesian context. The study seeks to identify common practices and strengthen the culture of encounter. Expected results include the generation of scientific knowledge, the publication of indexed articles, and the creation of intervention programs to improve the application of the model. The project positively impacts the academic curriculum, technology transfer, and the consolidation of international collaboration networks among the IUS, promoting quality education aligned with Salesian values.

Goal:
To analyze the application of the Preventive System of Saint John Bosco among pedagogy students at Salesian Higher Education Institutions (IUS) to promote integral and transformative education.
