Project Details

Description

General objective Explain the translation process that allowed the kishwar (understood as an actant) to enter Catholic temples and continue as a sacred entity in Andean shrines. Justification This project is proposed for the following three reasons: a) in scientific terms, it is essential to reinforce the investigation and analysis of religious phenomena in Latin America, due to the cultural and political importance that religious positions currently have. b) it is necessary to know the importance that trees and plants have had throughout history in Andean religiosity; c) we need to generate knowledge about Andean religiosity in order to be part of academic discussions such as symposiums and congresses.
