The Impact of the Role of the Ecuadorian University on Business Performance: A Pragmatic View of Accounting Sciences (IMUNEM)

Project Details

Description

This research project addresses the need to improve the correlation and communication among the State, businesses, and universities in Ecuador, recognizing academia as a key driver for national development and the delivery of contextualized education. The study focuses on answering the question: What is the impact of the Ecuadorian university on business performance? The Triple Helix model is adopted due to its holistic and systemic approach, deemed most suitable for the Ecuadorian university context. The methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing a non-experimental, correlational design and the hypothetical-deductive method. The research aims to empirically verify the impact through an econometric model. Data collection will be conducted via surveys to gather information on the latent variables: the university's role and business performance. Statistical analysis, including multiple linear regression, will be performed using the R statistical software to quantify the causal relationship between academic offerings and business outcomes.

Goal:
To analyze the impact of the role of the Ecuadorian university on business performance using a structural equation model, aiming to establish a key vertex in knowledge transfer between academia and the productive sector.

Research lines:
Fiscal and tax studies
