Teaching-Learning Dynamics in the Virtual Modality Implemented in the Training of Intercultural Bilingual Teachers (Phase 2)

Project Details

Description

This project focuses on analyzing the teaching-learning dynamics developed during the second virtual edition of the Continuing Education Course "Ancestral Knowledge for Intercultural Bilingual Teaching," offered by the Salesian Polytechnic University in collaboration with the National Directorate of Intercultural Bilingual Education. The transition to the virtual modality was implemented to overcome logistical barriers such as participant and teacher mobilization, and to leverage the use of digital technologies in educational mediation. The study addresses the inherent challenges posed by the diversity of technical conditions and the variable level of digital literacy among EIB system teachers, who have historically had limited access to training programs due to territorial and infrastructure factors. The methodology employed is mixed (qualitative-quantitative), including virtual ethnography to observe interactions within the learning environment and interviews with key stakeholders and participants. The main objective is to evaluate how the training processes were pedagogically mediated under these specific conditions.

Goal:
To determine the teaching-learning dynamics implemented in the virtual modality training of intercultural bilingual teachers.

Research lines:
Educational policies, teacher training and interculturality
