Talent, Innovation, and Performance of SMEs in Ibero-America

MSMEs represent the majority of the business landscape in Iberoamerica and Ecuador, playing a crucial role in job creation. However, they face significant challenges regarding competitiveness, low productivity, and weak administrative structures, exacerbated by environmental factors such as insecurity and economic uncertainty. This project, developed within the FAEDPYME network, focuses on investigating how human talent management influences the financial and operational performance of these productive units. The methodology is quantitative and qualitative, using structured surveys applied to micro-entrepreneurs across various Iberoamerican countries. The study aims to provide tools for strategic business planning and the formulation of data-driven public policies. By delving into internal variables, the project intends to bridge the productivity gap that separates MSMEs from large corporations. As a result, the project expects to generate national and international reports, as well as scientific publications that serve as a reference for economic and social agents. The research involves multiple universities, consolidating a collaborative network for the continuous analysis of the business reality in the region.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>Analyze the influence of human talent on the performance and competitiveness of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Iberoamerica.
