Systematization of an inclusive contemporary dance methodology to enhance the bodily skills of people with visual disabilities

This project addresses the exclusion of people with visual impairments in the field of contemporary dance, an area often limited by attitudinal barriers and a lack of adapted methodologies. Through a narrative and qualitative research design, the study systematizes life experiences and teaching-learning processes to develop an inclusive methodology that enhances body awareness and spatial orientation. The central problem lies in the lack of pedagogical tools within the Ecuadorian educational system that integrate art as a means of comprehensive training for people with disabilities. The research uses techniques such as life stories, interviews, and field journals to document participant progress and public perceptions. Expected results include the creation of a practical technique for instructors and raising community awareness regarding body diversity. By validating dance as a tool for inclusion, the project not only promotes the right to cultural participation but also strengthens the self-esteem and autonomy of participants, setting a precedent for future inclusive educational practices.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To systematize an inclusive contemporary dance methodology to enhance the bodily skills, autonomy, and artistic expression of people with visual impairments.
