This project addresses the critical need to improve energy efficiency in the residential sector, focusing specifically on domestic refrigerators, which account for significant energy consumption (approximately 33.33% in households consuming 150 kWh/month). The main objective is to model and simulate how various technological indicators influence the reduction of electrical energy consumption in these appliances, utilizing the System Dynamics methodology. The research arises in a context where organizations like OLADE promote energy efficiency for sustainability, and countries such as Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador require clear savings policies. The methodology involves an exhaustive literature review, field data collection, and analysis of scientific articles to characterize existing models.
