Study of Information Security and ICTs in the Field of Information Security

Project Details

Description

This project addresses the growing need to strengthen Information Security (IS) given the omnipresence and vulnerability of IT systems and ICTs in modern society. Despite the significance of these systems, many organizations and users fail to implement adequate protection measures, exposing themselves to significant risks. The proposed methodology is structured in three key phases. Initially, a Descriptive State is conducted to gather and classify formal information, components, and recommendations regarding IS, detailing the Operating Systems and hardware to be used for practical exercises. Subsequently, in the Interactive State, practical solutions will be sought for problems identified during direct interaction with the systems. Finally, a thorough analysis and evaluation of the obtained results will be performed to formulate solid conclusions and recommendations on information protection in current technological environments.

Goal:
The main objective is to analyze, study, and test security techniques, vulnerabilities, and information protection using relevant material and Operating Systems focused on Information Security and ICTs.

Research lines:
Telematics
