This project addresses the need to evolve vehicular network architectures, which currently fail to meet the growing demand for information traffic, towards heterogeneous systems capable of integrating multiple wireless technologies to ensure constant connectivity. The study focuses on evaluating Heterogeneous VANETs, an approach necessary to support Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications requiring high efficiency and security, such as the exchange of entertainment and traffic control data. The methodology involves a descriptive state to gather information and define the components of the simulation systems to be used, followed by an interactive state to experiment and resolve issues arising during interaction with these systems. Finally, an analysis and evaluation of the simulation results will be conducted, considering both Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communications, to conclude and recommend unified architectures that adapt to diverse operational conditions.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>The main objective is to study, simulate, and evaluate Heterogeneous Vehicular Networks (VANETs) by correctly varying wireless technology based on user capacity in urban planning areas, utilizing mobility and wireless communication simulators.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Telecommunications and information technologies
