Description

This project addresses the critical need to manage and make accessible Geographic Information and Spatial Analysis, especially in the context of anthropogenic and natural hazards such as landslides. Information collected over decades is fragmented and inaccessible to decision-makers and citizens, despite its relevance for hazard mitigation. The proposed solution involves developing an interactive, web-based geoportal designed to enhance the interoperability of cartographic data. The methodology combines on-site data collection through field surveys and the use of GPS to obtain precise location data, exemplified by the ongoing survey of the Chaquiñán road. For the geoportal's software development, an object-oriented methodology will be employed, selecting between RUP or Agile (Extreme) based on specific project needs, ensuring a robust and functional platform for informed decision-making.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>Develop a set of interactive systems accessible via the Internet for Geographic Information management and Spatial Analysis.
