Recording Footprints: The Non-Fiction Documentary Video as a Construction Tool for Historical Memory in a Town (GRAHU)

This project addresses the lack of a structured academic methodology for producing historical-sociocultural documentary videos, a gap affecting audiovisual communication, especially when dealing with specific content from communities like La Libertad, Santa Lucía, and Quinsaloma. The main objective is to develop a methodological proposal that integrates audiovisual language, documentary theories (citing authors like Nicholls, Grierson, and Flaherty), and intercultural communication to strengthen historical memory and promote intercultural processes in the Ecuadorian context. The research is classified as theoretical-applied, with a qualitative approach and a narrative-ethnographic design. Empirical methods such as scientific observation, the 'snowball' sampling technique, surveys, and interviews will be used to gather data from the university population and relevant social actors. The practical component will culminate in the production of three documentary videos, following the classic stages of pre-production, production, and post-production, aiming to generate didactic resources and enhance local cultural appreciation.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To design a structured methodological proposal for the production of non-fiction documentary videos with a historical-sociocultural focus.
