Project Details
Description
This project addresses the critical need for adequate technological and methodological educational resources for individuals with disabilities, particularly in developing countries. It acknowledges the vast amount of digital content available but highlights the difficulty conventional search engines face in indexing its specific utility for competency development in this population. The main objective is to generate an educational content recommender system grounded in Artificial Intelligence techniques. This system will extract information from the internet to provide educational guidelines focused on developing life skills and competencies, aiming to improve the quality of life for children and individuals with various disabilities. The development methodology utilized is Waterfall (Desarrollo en Cascada), a traditional, systemic, and sequential approach encompassing rigorous phases of requirements analysis, system and program design, coding, thorough testing, and maintenance. This initial stage focuses on establishing the foundation for this recommender as a fundamental support tool.

Goal:
To develop and implement a system that utilizes artificial intelligence to automatically gather and suggest relevant educational content from the internet, specifically aimed at supporting the development of life skills for individuals with special support needs, disabilities, or functional diversity.

Research lines:
Technologies and systems for educational and labor inclusion
