Putting the Body into Research: Openings and Closures of Narrative Productions (Phase 2)

This research project addresses the limitations of 'narrative productions' (NP) as a methodological tool in social sciences, particularly within the Ecuadorian context. Despite their value for situated knowledge, the reliance on the written word often creates a disconnection with participants and limits subjective agency. The study proposes a critical re-reading of NPs from feminist and decolonial epistemologies, seeking to overcome the 'vampirization of information' and the commodification of academic knowledge. The methodology is based on Participatory Action Research (PAR), integrating researchers, students, and protagonists of previous studies. The central focus is the 'embodiment' of research through oralization and theatrical creation. Through staging laboratories and focus groups, the project seeks to transform academic results into products with meaningful everyday relevance for participants. Expected results include the systematization of creative processes, the presentation of a theatrical play on gender-based violence, and the identification of scenic elements that facilitate social awareness. This transdisciplinary approach aims to democratize knowledge and strengthen reflexivity in teaching and research practice.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>Contribute to the methodological debate on feminist and decolonial research through a process of reflexivity regarding narrative productions.
