Putting the Body into Research: Openings and Closures of Narrative Productions (Phase 3)

This project, titled 'Giving Body to Research: Openings and Closures of Narrative Productions (Phase III)', addresses the limitations of narrative productions (NP) as a research tool in social psychology and social sciences. Despite their value for situated knowledge, NPs often face difficulties in contexts where oral culture predominates or where the written word limits participant agency. The research proposes a multidisciplinary approach that integrates feminist and decolonial epistemologies to 'embody' research. The team seeks to overcome the exclusive reliance on the written word by oralizing narratives through theatrical creation processes. This approach allows for the transformation of NPs into stage productions that facilitate awareness-raising regarding gender-based violence and collective resistance. The project utilizes Participatory Action Research (PAR) to involve the co-authors of the narratives in the theatrical staging. Expected results include the systematization of this creative process, the production of an indexed scientific article, and the completion of two undergraduate theses, thereby promoting innovative scientific dissemination and a direct impact on the academic training of psychology students.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To contribute to the methodological debate on feminist and decolonial research through a reflexivity process regarding narrative productions, aiming to facilitate the embodiment of research.
