Project Details
Description
This project addresses the critical need to enhance educational inclusion for students with disabilities at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS), a challenge demanding multidisciplinary effort to foster their autonomy. Historically, inclusion has been limited, but current Ecuadorian regulations have made accessibility a reality, necessitating institutional investment in infrastructure and resources. The core problem identified is the limited knowledge regarding disability conditions, coupled with a lack of proficiency in methodologies, strategies, and the creation of adapted didactic and technological resources. This deficiency leads to unequal educational opportunities, high rates of absenteeism, and a feeling of neglect among affected students. The central goal is to develop and provide specific didactic materials that empower faculty and facilitate an effective inclusive process, aligning with the emerging responsibilities of teaching staff to promote educational equity for all members of the university community.

Goal:
To produce innovative didactic materials and resources to promote educational inclusion and support the autonomy of students with disabilities at the Salesian Polytechnic University.

Research lines:
Didactics and alternative learning methodologies
