Prospective of the social, cultural, economic, and political reality in the province of Pichincha considering a statistical analysis

This research project, led by the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Quito, addresses the challenges arising from population growth and inequality gaps in the Pichincha Province. Faced with rising population numbers and increasing labor informality, the study aims to diagnose the current situation of children, youth, and migrant populations to improve educational offerings and pastoral support. The methodology is mixed-methods, combining quantitative analysis through sociodemographic surveys with a qualitative approach based on interviews with key stakeholders and parish leaders. This design allows for the capture of both statistical trends and the sociocultural realities experienced within the territories. The expected impact focuses on the strategic restructuring of the Archdiocese of Quito, enabling more efficient resource management and a more relevant response to the needs of its communities. Furthermore, the project fosters academic engagement, involving UPS students in the analysis of the national reality and contributing to the production of indexed scientific knowledge.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>To propose a statistical and prospective study of the social, cultural, economic, political, and demographic reality of the Pichincha Province.
