Proposal for the Development of a Prototype System for Academic Monitoring in the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities at the UPS

Project Details

Description

This project addresses the need to implement a robust academic tracking system for students with disabilities at UPS, responding to national reforms promoting truly inclusive education. The fundamental purpose is to identify and respond to the specific needs of these students, who possess unique requirements. The proposed solution involves developing a prototype system based on national best practices and international standards, particularly Latin American ones. The methodology follows the learning cycle (experimentation, reflection, conceptualization, and application). Initially, the underlying problems and causes in current tracking processes will be investigated and understood. Subsequently, formats will be analyzed, and the system will be conceptualized, aiming to generate an application functioning as an expert system. This application will serve as an essential feedback mechanism to validate and optimize the academic monitoring and tracking process for students with disabilities.

Goal:
To develop a prototype academic tracking system focused on the effective inclusion of students with disabilities at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS).
