Project Details
Description
This research project, led by the ATARAXIA group at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS), addresses the need to revitalize Salesian identity and values within the academic community of the Guayaquil campus. Following the interruption of in-person activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a disconnection in the experience of the institutional charism was identified, leading to uncertainty in the integral formation of students.
The proposal is based on the pedagogy of the Salesian Preventive System, integrating axes of listening, accompaniment, and animation. Through a qualitative methodology and the development of integration workshops called 'Salesians in Action,' the research team seeks to design a daily educational strategy applicable to the university environment. This interdisciplinary approach involves faculty, administrative staff, and students in a process of reflection and collective construction.
Expected results include the creation of a validated educational strategy, the publication of scientific articles in indexed journals, and the generation of inputs for future training proposals. The project not only seeks to strengthen institutional identity but also to foster soft skills and an environment of quality and warmth, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education and institutional peace.

Goal:
To develop an educational strategy based on the Salesian Preventive System pedagogy to promote integral development and institutional values within the UPS academic community.
