Project Details

Description

This project focuses on understanding and managing psychosocial factors (FPs) affecting occupational health among the staff at the Salesian Polytechnic University of Quito (UPS-Q), addressing the growing priority of preventing psychosocial risks in Ecuador. The main goal is to diagnose and evaluate working conditions to design a comprehensive prevention and intervention program targeting 832 employees (teaching, administrative, and service staff). The methodology involves stratified random sampling of 593 participants. The assessment uses the Fpsico 3.1 instrument, which measures nine key factors, including Work Time, Autonomy, Workload, Psychological Demands, and Social Relations and Support. Data, collected via email, were analyzed using SPSS version 22, applying descriptive statistics, mean contrasts, internal consistency checks, and multiple linear regression. This study aims to comply with Ecuadorian legal regulations and UPS-Q's organizational responsibility, involving the Human Talent and Occupational Safety departments to enhance well-being and quality of work life.

Goal:
To analyze psychosocial risk factors in the teaching, administrative, and service staff at the Salesian Polytechnic University of Quito between 2019 and 2021, in order to generate a comprehensive prevention and intervention program based on a research line to promote well-being and quality of life at work.

Research lines:
Work, consumption and psychology
