Practice of Inclusive Culture at the Salesian Polytechnic University in Ecuador (Phase 1)

This research project focuses on evaluating and demonstrating the implementation of an inclusive culture at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) during the period from 1980 to 2015, using the Salesian Preventive System developed by Don Bosco as its theoretical framework. The project addresses the need to systematize historical experiences to revalue Salesian spirituality and charisma in contemporary educational practice, responding to Don Bosco's legacy of caring for marginalized youth. The methodology employed is historical-critical and projective, organized into four stages: developing the theoretical framework, identifying historical milestones of inclusive practice at UPS, analyzing the regional situational status through external presentations, and regional systematization to propose improvements. Data collection will involve interviews, focus groups, surveys, and documentary review of UPS academic and pedagogical archives. A bibliographic manager will be used to organize the information and facilitate the interdisciplinary collaboration required to analyze the university's inclusive culture.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>The main objective is to demonstrate the inclusive culture within the UPS university community by analyzing the practice of the values of the Salesian Preventive System between 1980 and 2015. This will be achieved through the systematization of the experience to revalue Salesian spirituality and charisma in the current context.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Inclusive education, policies, culture and practices
