Project Details

Description

This research project addresses the political and institutional transformation processes experienced in Ecuador since 2006, focusing on the dominant discourse of 'Buen Vivir' (Good Living) and the apparent disconnect of civil society from its meaning. The main objective is to generate theoretical and applied knowledge about Ecuadorian political discourses and practices from the perspective of Latin American political psychology, an approach committed to social transformation. The study proposes to analyze 'Buen Vivir' as 'the political' (an object of public interest) and institutional practices of economic and social inclusion as 'politics' (concrete forms of public policy). Both dimensions will be examined through the lens of inter/subjectivity and the construction of subjectivities, emphasizing the psychosocial level of political activity. Methodologically, a mixed-methods approach based on triangulation will be employed, integrating qualitative and quantitative orientations to reinforce result validity. Data collection will involve primary sources such as semi-structured interviews, focus groups, surveys, and social cartography workshops, supplemented by the review of documents, statistics, and journalistic sources.

Goal:
To contribute to the production of theoretical and applied knowledge regarding the political discourses and practices present in Ecuadorian society, utilizing the framework of Latin American political psychology.

Research lines:
nan
