General objective Evaluate the species Ilex guayusa based on its phenolic components (Flavonoids) and its antioxidant effects applied in cosmetic products. Justification The interest of this research is based on the study of the chemical composition centered on the phenolic components, especially on the flavonoids present in this species and their antioxidant potential. Additionally, in cooperation with the Chankuap Salesian Foundation, the addition of plant extracts in an anti-aging cosmetic product will be studied, which will be evaluated in in-vivo panels following the protocol described by (Guarderas & Robalino 2015).
