This project addresses the lack of practical, real-world data concerning the performance of photovoltaic solar generation in the local environment, specifically at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS). The central goal is to parameterize the installation of solar panels on a university rooftop to gather crucial information about their operational behavior. The methodology involves an exhaustive investigation of commercially available solar panels, selecting the most appropriate ones based on technical, environmental, and economic criteria. Subsequently, a specific panel type will be defined, modeling the complete system by obtaining key variables such as cell type, manufacturing material, and tilt angle. The crucial phase includes monitoring the panels installed at the UPS, utilizing specialized software for results analysis. Finally, a technical-financial and environmental analysis will be conducted to determine the feasibility of using these photovoltaic systems in the city and country, providing valuable references for future applications in housing and condominiums.<br/><br/><b>Goal</b>: <br/>The main objective of the project is to parameterize the installation of solar panels on one of the rooftops of the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) Cuenca Campus to collect and process real data regarding the operation and performance of photovoltaic solar generation in the local environment.<br/><br/><b>Research lines</b>: <br/>Optimization of energy and renewable energies
