Description
This project addresses the lack of standardized safety systems in heavy machinery, specifically skid steer loaders, within the Ecuadorian context. Operating these machines under local geographical and climatic conditions, combined with limited adoption of international standards such as ISO 12100:2010 and ISO 13849-1, significantly increases the risk of workplace accidents. The objective is to develop and optimize protective structures (ROPS/FOPS) and excavation systems using advanced computational tools.
The methodology employs the Finite Element Method (FEM) and CAD/CAE platforms to model, simulate, and validate component performance before physical manufacturing. This approach allows for the evaluation of stresses, deformations, and safety factors under extreme conditions, ensuring design reliability.
Expected results include the creation of innovative technological solutions that reduce workplace accidents and improve operational efficiency.
